About Me

My photo
My husband, John Sawyer and I, own Construction Finance. Construction Finance is an invoice factoring company for the construction industry. I also enjoy working from home and running my own 'little lash biz', The Mascara Mavens. I've been married to my BFF for 22 years and am the mother of EIGHT wonderful children. Four by birth and four by adoption. The joy adoption has brought our lives can't be expressed through words. Our lives have been forever changed and our hearts forever touched. Having been involved in the 'world of adoption' for the past 16 years, I understand it's challenges and blessings.

Despicable Me Minion Cupcakes

Despicable Me Minion Cupcakes

For our PBIS (positive behavior incentive system) celebration, I made 'Minion' cupcakes for my daughter's classes. I used gel glitter black icing in a tube to outline the eyes to create goggles. Little brown sprinkles for the hair. And FYI Twinkies get gross if left out too long. So I baked the cupcakes the night before and prepared the Twinkies about 2 hours before the party.

And 60 minions later.....finished!!

Littlest Angel

This little angel hung on the Christmas tree when I was growing up. I remember thinking she was the most beautiful and magical thing I'd ever seen. My mom passed her along to me 17 years ago when I got married. She still hangs on my 'special' tree along with all my most favorite ornaments. When we adopted a beautiful African American daughter 11 years ago, I purchased an angel that I hope she will think is the most beautiful and magical thing ever. Here are pics of both ;)
